Development History
Hubei Dayao Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. was established in 2017 with a registered capital of 10 million yuan. It is located in Dongxiacao Village, Baiyangping Town, Enshi City, Hubei Province. Situated in Enshi City, renowned as the "Selenium Capital of the World," the company specializes in tea cultivation, production, processing, and sales, as well as diversified businesses such as homestay tourism, tea garden tours, and rural experience activities. The company is committed to building itself into a modern agricultural and tourism enterprise.
Since its establishment, the company has adhered to the philosophy of “using culture as our positioning, tea as our core, tourism as our medium, Tujia ethnic culture as our distinctive feature, and rural revitalization as our goal,” actively promoting the integration of villages and enterprises and advocating for the joint progress of businesses and villagers. Through the integrated development of cultural tourism and agritourism industries, Dayao Agriculture leverages the strength of enterprises to drive the growth of village-level collective economies. Using tea culture as a vehicle, it is enhancing the industrial landscape and contributing to the nation’s rural revitalization strategy.
During its development, the company, together with the village committee and villagers of Dongxiaocao Village, has invested nearly 200 million yuan to create the “Yulu Estate” complex—a comprehensive tourism destination integrating tea plantations, homestays, and sightseeing attractions. The project encompasses facilities including a certified organic tea plantation spanning over 3,000 mu, the Longgan Lake Tourism Reception Center, a rural tourism amusement center, a rural tourism study-and-research center, an Enshi Lantern Opera Exhibition Center, the Xihé Garden Homestay Center, and the Enshi Yulu Experience Hall. The company primarily focuses on the processing, production, and sales of premium teas such as Enshi Yulu and Lichuan Red. It has also registered the tea trademarks “Xishizhen” and “Lingluxi,” leveraging the Enshi selenium-rich tea brand to establish a market for organic, high-quality teas.
Guided by the philosophy that "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," the company is deeply committed to implementing the national rural revitalization strategy and is driving the construction of the "Yulu Estate" project—a cultural, tea, tourism, and agricultural integration industrial park. This initiative aims to tap into the tea culture of Enshi Yulu through an ecological agriculture and pastoral complex model, preserve and carry forward the intangible cultural heritage of Enshi Dengxi Opera, promote the ethnic cultures of the Tujia and Miao peoples, and comprehensively advance the development of businesses including rural experiences, tea garden tours, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, and leisure vacations.
The development model of Dayao Agriculture, known as the "Longganhu Model"—which emphasizes "joint construction between villages and enterprises, win-win outcomes for private enterprises, industrial integration, and using agriculture to support agriculture"—has revitalized village-level economies and driven the common development of villagers. Under the guidance of Party building efforts, the company is committed to establishing a closed-loop system integrating tea production, tourism, culture, homestays, and rural experience activities, thereby promoting the integrated development of the tea and tourism industries in Dongxiacao Village. With the full-scale construction of the "Yulu Manor" project, the company anticipates achieving an annual output of 500 tons and generating an annual output value of 120 million yuan. This initiative will directly create employment for over 100 people, indirectly involve more than 400 individuals in the industrial chain, help over 200 impoverished households shake off poverty, and effectively contribute to the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.
